"It's going to blow your head off"

The immensely innovative Eric Prydz has just informed his fans that EPIC 5.0 is on its way, and it's like nothing the world has ever seen.

Prydz's EPIC shows have been known to test the visionary boundaries, bringing mind-blogging live shows and holograms to the stage in a multi-sensory fusion of art and music. Starting in 2012, the producer's performance series aimed to bring something fresh to the electronic community, building a "technology-based extension" of his music with episodic upgrades and concepts.

The news of the fifth EPIC installment comes through a recent interview with Insomniac's Night Owl Radio, where the producer vaguely describes his current 5.0 project. No word on a debut date or upcoming tour, the only details given are that "it's going to blow your head off."

In addition to the news of EPIC 5.0, Prydz also announces he'll be returning with his EPIC Radio series this November.

With executive producer and music supervisor Pete Tong.

Bert Marcus Productions, have announced their latest film, a dance music documentary titled What We Started. The documentary was co-written, produced and directed by filmmakers Bert Marcus and Cyrus Saidi, who enlisted Pete Tong as an executive producer and music supervisor.

'What We Started' will be looking into the culture of the history of electronic music, leading with the legacy of Carl Cox and following with newcomer Martin Garrix.

The documentry will explore the parallels between Cox's undeniable influence and hand in the evolution of dance music and Garrix's formation of mainstream genres and global fame today.

Cox, who recently played the last set of his 15-year Space Ibiza residency, with Martin Garrix might be an unexpected one, but the choice to pair these two gifted dj's aims to artfully showcase the connection between two different generations of dance artists.

'What We Started' has no official release date or trailer.

Sky's The Limit For Elrow

The Elrow extravaganza is marked as one of the most extravagant and genuinely refreshing brands in the world, with neon installations, dancers, over-the-top lights and thousands of inflatable toys. The venue-turned-party promoter has a strong history of monumental events and community atmosphere.

When it comes to down to the production, this is where the brand really starts to shine. Anyone can put up a couple of banners and the odd balloon, but with Elrow, it is taken to an entirely new level. Sure, there will be banners, mobiles and balloons a plenty, but you can also expect to see mermaids, a rolling pin in pursuit of a cockerel, giant mushrooms, sharks, giraffes that tower over you, very weird finger puppet shows and the famous yellow Elrow chicken, which has toured the world with them. All of the themes that Elrow has taken on over the years, have been the childishly imagination of their creative team who are constantly thinking up a bizarre new adventure to indulge in. “Every idea, as crazy and strange as it can be, has the potential of being a great idea. And with Elrow it seem's the sky is the limit!

PACHA Nightclub Group Sold For €350 Million Euros

PACHA Nightclub Group Sold For €350 Million Euros

Ibiza Nightlife seems to have taken another blow recently, after the closing of the world renowned Space nightclub, is joined by the sale of the equally famous PACHA Nightclub Group. Pacha founder Ricardo Urgell, has recently agreed to sell the nightclub group for €350 Million, as he claimed he could no longer stomach Ushuaia owners the Matutes family.

In an interview with Diario de Ibiza, Urgell had this to say:

“I feel like an honest person trying to do the best possible, we have to want more for the island, invest in it, appreciate it and love her, so that we’re not only benefiting ourselves. People need to promote projects to improve Ibiza. It’s important that the island does not lose the magic.”

He continued: “The island has spoiled areas that will be difficult to recover. If we continue at this pace, it will eventually move to the north of the island. Music should be controlled. We cannot have music everywhere.”

Ricardo Urgell hopes that the new club owners will retain some of the magic that he invested into the clubs, and would like to see the nightclub group grow, in a healthy magical way that will continue to invite clubbers to make memories within its walls.
